HCA: New over the phone and video remote interpreting contract coming

The Health Care Authority (HCA) recently sent the following alert to dental Medicaid providers.

New services

The Health Care Authority’s (HCA) interpreter services team and UniversalLanguage Service has signed a new spoken language contract to provide over the phone and video remote interpreting services.

The contract will go live this spring and will assist Apple Health Medicaid providers in meeting their  Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 responsibility. The new services will increase health equity for Apple Health providers, language access providers and Apple Health clients.

Providers

Medicaid Transition to Managed Care Cancelled

The 2019 Legislature has directed the Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA) to continue to administer the dental Medicaid program through fee-for-service. The HCA may not proceed with a carved-out or carved-in managed care dental option at this time.
