Secure Access Washington (SAW).

Additionally, beginning January 1, employers will need to offer paid family and medical leave through either the state plan or a voluntary plan. While employees cannot begin to utilize benefits until January, employers have already started to remit employee premiums.

Paid Family and Medical Leave Program Employer Toolkit. The toolkit is intended to help employers prepare for Paid Family & Medical Leave and help inform employees on what to expect from the program. The latest version includes an update on the information an employer will receive when an employee uses benefits and additional information regarding the continuation of an employee’s healthcare benefits.

Finally, ESD has concluded rulemaking efforts related to recodification, the employee waiting period and reportable wages for premium assessment purposes. You can read the
