DQAC Business Meeting – June 25

The Commission will hold a public hearing and consider the adoption of proposed rules for WAC 246-817-580 Novel coronavirus disease 2019 screening. Additionally, DQAC will give rule updates on the COVID-19 vaccination delegation and specialty representation rules, as well as give overviews of the previous Anesthesia Committee meetings, Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary Committee meeting, Dental Continuing Competency Committee meeting, Dental Educational Outreach Committee meeting, and Dental Infection Control Committee meeting.

The Commission will also review for approval the proposed 2021-2023 business plan and discuss correspondence on the consideration of a two-year renewal cycle for licensed dentists, discuss an email on the display of license requirement, review a response letter to the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and discuss additional information provided by Dr. Carstensen on ordering sleep studies, and review response letters to DOCS Education and Dr. Quarnstrom.

Finally, the Commission will elect the 2021-2022 Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson.
