HHS Provider Relief Fund Deadline – Nov. 6

The ADA is reminding dentists that they have until 8:59 PM PT Nov. 6 to apply for Phase 3 General Distribution Funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Provider Relief Fund. This is the last chance to apply for and receive payment from the Provider Relief Fund.

The Provider Relief Fund was established by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act — known as the CARES Act — and allows dental providers to apply for payments made for health care-related expenses or lost revenue attributable to the pandemic. The ADA has created an FAQ to assist dentists in applying.

All providers eligible for a previous distribution, plus some new 2020 providers, are invited to apply for Phase 3 funding, HHS said. The department also said that providers may be eligible if they had not previously applied. All applicants must have a verifiable taxpayer identification number (TIN) to receive funding.

HHS has posted a step-by-step guide on how to apply on its website.

Dentists with questions should contact the HHS Provider Support Line at 1-866-569-3522 during the hours of operation from 5 AM to 8 PM PT Monday-Friday.
