Dental Offices Not Included in New Pause on Non-Urgent Procedures at Hospitals

WSDA has received direct confirmation from the Governor’s Office that the pause on non-urgent procedures does not include dental offices or other non-hospital-based health care settings.

Today, Governor Jay Inslee ordered a four-week pause on non-urgent procedures at hospitals in response to increased COVID-19 cases and decreased hospital capacity across the state. WSDA has received direct confirmation from the Governor’s Office that this pause on non-urgent procedures does not include dental offices or other non-hospital-based health care settings.

Please note that this order may affect dentists working in hospital-based settings. Please watch for more information from your hospital system.

WSDA has been in ongoing communication with the Governor’s Office and will continue to update members as new information becomes available.

Sincerely,

Dr. Ashley Ulmer
WSDA President
