HCA: New Online Sign Language Interpreter Request Form

The Health Care Authority (HCA) recently sent the following alert to dental Medicaid providers.

New Online Sign Language Interpreter Request Form

The Health Care Authority (HCA) has collaborated with Office of Deaf and Hard of Hearing (ODHH) to streamline sign language interpreter requests for Apple Health clients.

As part of this effort, ODHH has implemented a new online Sign Language Interpreter Request form for Apple Health providers. Starting July 1, 2021 providers will submit the sign language interpreter request form directly through the ODHH online form. Providers will no longer make the requests in ProviderOne.

Apple Health providers who utilize the current sign language process in ProviderOne Prior Authorization will be contacted directly by the HCA Interpreter Services team with information on how to transition to using the new online request system.
