WSDA empowers our members to advocate for and provide optimal oral health care. As a not-for-profit organization representing the majority of Washington dentists, we are your strongest and most influential advocate.

In 2023, with the support of our members, WSDA:

  • Successfully lobbied Delta Dental Plans Association to stop bundling panoramic radiographs into a full mouth X-rayif multiple radiographs are taken on the same day. This change takes effect nationwide in January 2024
  • Successfully advocated for the passage of three important dental workforce bills that reduce barriers to hygiene licensure and increase licensure portability in Washington state for dentists and hygienists.

Looking ahead, WSDA will continue to prioritize our efforts on:

  • Addressing dental insurance concerns affecting your ability to provide optimal oral health care to your patients.
  • Advancing solutions to Washington’s dental workforce shortage of hygienists and assistants.
  • Monitoring and influencing legislative and regulatory issues affecting the dental profession.

In addition to supporting WSDA’s strategic priorities, renew for 2024 to remain eligible for these benefits and more:

  • Regulatory updates and information on how to comply with new rules affecting Washington dental offices.
  • Substantial member discount on 20+ credits of high-quality CE at PNDC 2024, May 9-11 in Seattle.
  • Free, best-in-class support to improve workplace safety, control L&I premium costs, and resolve workers’ compensation claims with WSDA Retro and the experts at ERNwest.
  • Helpful email reminder to renew your dental license so you don’t let it lapse.
